The North Carolina Professionals Health Program (NCPHP) is committed to supporting physician well-being and encouraging help-seeking through reforms in the credentialing application process. As part of the state's Physician Retention and Well-being (NCCPRW) Consortium, NCPHP has played a key role in revising the uniform credentialing application (UCA). The updated application now focuses solely on current impairments related to medical, behavioral, or mental health conditions. This approach aligns with recommendations from leading organizations, including the the American Medical Association, Federation of State Medical Boards, CDC/NIOSH, National Association of Medical Staff Services, and the Federation of State Physician Health Programs.

We invite you to submit research articles to the FSPHP Research Committee that focus on the health of medical and healthcare professionals, particularly those addressing timely and significant topics in our field. Your submissions will be considered for the 2025 Research Roundup Session at the FSPHP 2025 Conference & Annual Membership Meeting, taking place in Seattle, WA, next April.
