Submit Your Committee Interest to Renew or Join
Dear FSPHP colleagues,
- Would you like to make a difference at a national level that supports the work of Physician Health Programs?
- Are you committed to sharing your time and talents to help your peers involved in the work of Physician Health Programs?
For many people, the ideal way to do that is to serve on a nonprofit board or committee for their professional membership association. Serving on a committee is a wonderful way to support a cause that you care about, and a powerful way to build your own skills and experience.
Individuals who serve on a committee have the opportunity to develop and grow as leaders, cultivate new skill sets, and expand your network of peers, professionals, leaders, and to be recognized as a national thought leader.
FSPHP Committees meet by conference call and some meet at our annual meeting.
Committee membership shall, except as otherwise provided in these Bylaws, be appointed by the President with the approval of the Board. Other provisions for committee appointments:
- The FSPHP Board of Directors considers diversity of skill set, and expertise, membership type, size of committee, and other factors when determining committee appointments.
- Organizational Members, Individual Members, and Industry Partner Individual Members shall not comprise more than 25% of any committee or task force, unless approved by vote of the Board.
- Organizational, Individual, and Industry Partner Individual members shall serve on such committees with voice, but no vote at such meetings.
- International, Organizational, Individual and Industry Partner Individual members may be appointed to lead or chair a task force or act as a non-voting committee member, including ad-hoc committees appointed by the President dependent upon expertise and areas of interest, with approval of a vote of the Board.
Committee membership is reviewed by the FSPHP Board on an annual basis. Committee members serve from May to May each year, with the ability to renew based on eligibility, and availability.
TO JOIN A COMMITTEE:
- Review the Committee Purposes and Frequency of Meetings on the FSPHP Committees webpage.
- Submit your interest to join or your plans to renew on the FSPHP Committee Service Interest Form.
It is also a good idea to email or call the committee chair(s) to discuss your interest.
We look forward to your interest to serve the FSPHP!
