FSPHP Evaluation and Treatment Accreditation™
(FSPHP-ETA™)

What is ETA™?

The purpose of the FSPHP Evaluation and Treatment Accreditation™ (FSPHP-ETA™) program is to recognize evaluation and treatment services that are qualified to specialize in the care of medical students, residents, career physicians, and other healthcare workers in safety-sensitive occupational roles, through a valid, reliable, and rational assessment process that demonstrates compliance with objective standards. The FSPHP-ETA™ program will encourage consistency of quality and quality improvement among providers who work with this safety-sensitive population.

Why participate in a ETA?

  • To distinguish qualified entities to evaluate and treat healthcare workers in safety-sensitive occupational roles.
  • To validate visibility, prestige, opportunities, and utilization by PHPs and other organizations that monitor healthcare workers in safety-sensitive occupational roles
  • To enhance the effectiveness of evaluation and treatment processes that will help to optimize outcomes.
  • To provide the PHP guidance for selecting evaluation and treatment entities based on objective criteria.
  • To provide Insurance or other third-party payer recognition/reimbursement.
  • To demonstrate to the public your entity’s dedication to high standards of quality care for safety-sensitive healthcare professionals.
  • To obtain education and consultation regarding standards of care for safety-sensitive healthcare professionals.
  • To participate in the sharing of best practices, enhance transparency, accountability, consistency, and excellence and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • To offer opportunities for various stakeholders to engage collaboratively in data-gathering and participation in the development of consensus-based standards of care for healthcare workers in safety-sensitive occupational roles, including healthcare professionals
